Technology & systems advisory
Find the tool your organization actually needs.
Before another platform is purchased or another AI pilot begins, understand the work: what people are trying to accomplish, where the friction appears, and what kind of system would create real value.
The problem behind the problem
AI confusion is usually systems confusion.
A company may think it needs an AI strategy when it actually has disconnected information, unclear ownership, a workflow held together by manual compensation, or a decision no one is authorized to make.
Technology can amplify a healthy system. It can also make a broken one move faster. My role is to help leadership distinguish between those conditions before money, credibility, and employee attention are spent.
How the work proceeds
Understand. Choose. Design. Govern.
The engagement is organized around the result the organization needs—not around a predetermined technology.
- 01
Understand the work
Listen to leadership and the people doing the work. Map the objective, friction, information, handoffs, and consequence.
- 02
Choose the intervention
Determine whether the answer is a process change, an existing product, integration, automation, custom tool, decision structure, or no technology at all.
- 03
Design the system
Define who uses it, what it must know, how it fits the workflow, where people remain in control, and how success will be observed.
- 04
Govern the motion
Sequence implementation, define ownership and boundaries, and keep the organization from confusing activity with value.
Best first engagement
Work & Decision Systems Evaluation
A concentrated diagnostic for an organization that knows something needs to improve but does not yet know what should be built, purchased, changed, or stopped.
This is deliberately upstream of implementation. Its purpose is to prevent a company from solving the wrong problem beautifully.
Discuss an evaluation →What leadership receives
- Current-system readWhere work, information, ownership, and decisions are creating friction.
- Opportunity mapWhere technology or AI could materially improve the work—and where it would not.
- Build / buy / change / stop recommendationA clear treatment for each priority opportunity.
- Risk and readiness assessmentData, adoption, oversight, integration, and operational constraints.
- Prioritized 90-day planThe first responsible sequence, owners, and evidence of progress.
- Executive readoutA direct working session with leadership—not a report dropped at the door.
When the opportunity is clear
Implementation Blueprint
Turn the selected opportunity into an implementation-ready design: the users, workflow, information, interfaces, human review points, ownership, risk boundaries, measures, and build sequence.
A system brief that leadership, an internal team, or a technical delivery partner can execute without having to rediscover the problem.
When leadership needs continuity
Independent leadership advisory
Ongoing guidance for executives navigating AI investments, product and vendor choices, pilots, workflow redesign, human oversight, or a portfolio of difficult decisions.
An advisor on the organization’s side of the table—helping leadership ask better questions, recognize hidden dependencies, and decide what deserves to move.
A strong fit
Organizations with capable people and consequential work
- Leadership knows AI or technology matters but lacks a grounded priority
- Employees are carrying repeated friction or manual compensation
- Technical work is strong but decisions still stall
- The cost of choosing the wrong system is material
Not the right fit
A predetermined tool looking for justification
- The decision has already been made and only validation is wanted
- The goal is an AI demonstration without a business problem
- No one can provide access to the people doing the work
- There is no owner for the outcome after the recommendation
Start with the work
You do not need to arrive knowing the answer.
Bring one area where work is harder than it should be. We can determine whether a systems evaluation is the right next step.
